It's the last day of November, so I'm rounding up my favorite images that I posted on Instagram this month.

Prayer candles for All Saints Day. It was chilly and rainy and grey out but inside, there was glow.

Fall color in my neighborhood. I love walking a carpet of leaves.

A commission on my easel. It's for my childhood priest's 90th birthday.

Woody typically likes to stay downstairs during the day, but he's agreeing to a little studio time more and more lately. I love having both of the boys with me while I work.

The flowers at Sunday lunch at my parents' house.

The Barn at the Summit is a food court, except with all local food. We really enjoyed our meal there and I have my eye on that place in the back right corner, Whiskey Bear. Nice atmosphere in there. And you know, I love atmosphere.

The Sunday before Thanksgiving, bittersweet behind the crucifix. I couldn't help but snap a picture of the altar. So autumnal. So beautiful.
Lord, you have been our refuge from one generation to another. Before the mountains were brought forth, or the land and earth were born, from age to age you are God. Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.

My Thanksgiving pies. It wasn't the best pumpkin ever, but the pecan was pretty good.

We went to a bonfire birthday party the day after Thanksgiving. Sitting by the fire, during the pink sunset, I glanced back at the house and saw this scene of party prep. There was something so beautiful to me about this moment.

I went out with neighbor-friends to a delicious meal and a movie. We stopped by Mulberry & Lime which has the best entrance, I think, of just about any place I know.

The movie we saw was Lady Bird, which I loved, and the Kentucky is basically the only theater I'll go to.

The beautiful heartache of autumn...golden in my backyard.

And Woody watching the leaves fall.
So, that's a wrap for November.
See ya'll next month!
