the love list

THIS WEEK I'M LOVING the slow quiet of the season + building my December playlist + a tiny bit of holiday shopping + the Belle Coeur Advent Journey + Monasteries of the Heart

Links I Loved This Week:

Bhutan is a Magical World Away A First-Hand Tale of Adventure (Written by my very own Mandy!)

Advent: Hearing God in a Female Voice

Mary, the Magnificat, and an Unsentimental Advent

Tracy and I went out to the Summit this week and I got to spend some time in one of my favorite places, Anthropologie, lusting after beautiful candles and Tocca perfume, and the softest lounge/sleep shirt I've ever encountered.

I found many things to love in every store we visited.

Including, on the other end of the shopping spectrum, on the other side of town, this giant mirror ball Buddha at Home Goods.

This weekend, Mary Ann Taylor-Hall is reading from her new collection Out of Nowhere at Brier Books. These poems are stunning.

Later, Christ Church Cathedral will host their candle lit "Blue" Christmas service of Holy Communion with Pleasant Company.

I'm looking forward to both of these events, as well as the ornament making party I'm going to tonight.

Whatever you're doing this weekend, stay cozy. Stay peaceful. Keep breathing.

Naming what I love is self-care...

And world-care. Ya'll, I can't think of a time in my life when it's been more important to be light and hold love. Notice the beauty. Notice the whimsy. Notice the kindness. Call it by name. The scarier the world seems, the more we must open ourselves to love. Be the love you need. xxx
