a love list for your weekend

Last week's full moon drained every ounce of energy out of me, but the weekend was tremendous fun. There was the reception for my exhibition at St. Raphael, a beautiful trip to Little Wing Hollow, and Mother's Day celebrations.

This was whirlwind week, but I'm switching gears now into summer schedule with the nieces, gathering in things like Brazilian Bum Bum Cream in preparation for a family wedding, and attempting to create a painting that came to me whole in a vision during a recent evensong.

Here's a list of links I loved this week:

The gospel is a very dangerous idea. We have to see how much of that dangerous idea we can perform in our own lives. There is nothing innocuous or safe about the gospel. Jesus did not get crucified because he was a nice man.

This week, I spoke to my friend Amy's class about creativity.

I had a lovely lunch with friends at the Julep Cup.

I watched my eldest niece walk across the middle school stage one last award's day because next year? She's in high school.

And I searched in vain for summer pants that fit and feel good. I'm so covetous of white jeans (but I don't have the Brazilian Bum Bum to wear them!)

I will find you, summer clothes, I will.

Have a beautiful weekend, my friends.
