September has come to a close and it's time for a round-up of my favorite images that I posted this month on Instagram, my favorite social media sharing place. I share photos of everyday beauty, sacred spaces, delightful moments, quotations, things that catch my eye.
If you don't already, please follow me there. (It's fun!)
I was de-cluttering and found this picture of Tracy, Woody, and me when we were just pups.
"But I'll tell you what hermits realize. If you go off into a far, far forest and get very quiet, you'll come to understand that you're connected with everything." I've been listening to a lot of Alan Watts lately. I find his voice both soothing and energizing, which is an interesting combo.
Nishaan and I enjoyed a restorative fresh juice and conversation in the park then encountered this lovely lady.
The boys love a spa day. This was an iodine foot bath to soothe their allergic feet.
Seen on my walk downtown. It's true.
The boys count the treats. They know exactly how many you've taken out of the bag. They know when you're hiding them.
This was prime lunch time at a neighborhood restaurant. A few days later, I heard they're closing. That's too bad. It was walking distance from my house and the food was good.
Morning meditation. Back to basics.
This is me raising my coffee cup to you in invitation. The new Creative Sanctuary doors are open.
Walking and listening to the Beatles, I encountered this rose. When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom. Let it be. Right after I saw this, I met a guy wearing a Beatles shirt. Two days later, I tuned in to one of the YouTubers I watch daily and she played a section of Let it Be during her video. Thanks be to God for the gift of synchronicity.
Finishing up a Prayer Painting in the morning light. No sound but the birds outside.
Harbingers of change. I just love running across giant mushrooms when I'm out on my walks.
Keith Ward was one of my professors this summer. This book was our text for the class. He's a brilliant philosopher and theologian. If you're interested in a completely liberating interpretation of Christianity, get this book.
So, here we go into October.
Thank you for walking this journey with me.
