the love list

Hello! It’s Friday and time for the Love List.

I have continued to have a lingering cough this week; I’m still feeling the fatigue from this mystery illness. When people tell you this thing that’s going around is long-lasting, they ain’t kidding. I’m hoping that it’s detoxing me from something or some such thing.

I pulled myself away from classic movies this week long enough to watch two Netflix offerings: Dumplin’, which I loved, and Russian Doll, which was maybe the best thing I’ve watched, ever.

The season of Lent, during which winter and spring struggle with each other for dominance, helps us in a special way to cry out for God’s mercy.

Our sweet Woody turned 14 this week. His friend Rachel gave him a cupcake and he enjoyed a homemade dinner and big nap.

My parents got me an Instant Pot for my birthday and do I love it. Even though I was quite a baker there for a while and still enjoy baking and candy creation, I’ve never really enjoyed cooking as in making dinner, and because I don’t enjoy it, I’m not very good at it.

Except now I am because Instant Pot!

I’m primarily using the Katie’s Bright Kitchen Instant Pot Cookbook.

I’m looking forward to getting back to yoga class tomorrow morning, but right now, I’m drinking coffee and watching snow fall.

I hope you have a beautiful weekend.
