april studio + life recap

Here we are at the end of another month, and April is such a good one.

We started off this month with our trip to L.A., which was wonderful, and could only have been made better by extending it out a few weeks.

This trip really fed our desire to figure out a way to live part of our lives on the West Coast. Selling everything and relocating isn’t an option for us right now, but we’d love to spend a few months out of the year - maybe even half a year - in California.

The weekend after we got back, I spent a day at Little Wing Hollow and got to hold a baby possum (Amazing).

My mom celebrated her 75th birthday this month (we had tea), and there was glorious, beautiful Easter.

I’m still behind schedule with things that need to be done. I have hope that my energy is returning, though.

I started working on an offering that should be ready to launch in a couple of weeks and I’m excited about it.

I moved my studio out to the back porch, where it will remain until the weather gets too hot, and paintings happened.

I’m continuing my closet clean-out and revamp and I found some cool secondhand pieces, including a couple of dresses.

I feel like I’m going to go dresses and sandals this summer, you know what I mean? (I’m still looking for the sandals.)

For those of you following my BLE adventure, I released three pounds this month, bringing my total weight loss so far to forty-six pounds.

I’m about fifteen pounds from my goal weight, but I’m also happy about where I am now.

I’ve been thinking about how it’s entirely possible to want to change or transform something while also loving it and accepting what and how it is.

That sounds crazy, but it’s true.

So, that’s a wrap for April. I hope you had a beautiful month.

Welcome to May. I can’t wait to see what we create.
