Hello. I’m Lori-Lyn.

I am a writer and a painter.

I live in Kentucky with a man who is a musician, photographer, and restorer of old houses.

We share our home with two pugs.

We have three nieces, to whom we are deeply devoted, an affection for 60s and 70s pop culture, and an unquenchable thirst for California.

We visit the West Coast as often as possible.

I love a lot of things, including pajamas, good dark coffee, thrift shopping, creating playlists, and arranging little altars all over my house.

I’m a member of an Episcopal Church.

I am also an intuitive and practitioner of energy healing.

Creative and spiritual practice is how I know who I am, how I step fully into my life, and how I explore the ethereal.

All of this I call my work is about using my voice in the service of love.

I hold space for surrender, transformation, and inner knowing.

I move with the sacred feminine, explore the numinous, and seek openness.

My mission is a vision of unity - each of us walking individual paths that eventually lead to the same homecoming, the oneness of being, peace.

My passion is helping you be who you were born to be.

Please do check out Lori-Lyn Hurley. I have worked with her on a few different occasions, and she is just wonderful. There’s this place that exists somewhere between (and also beyond) the mundane and the magical, the mainstream and the mystical—and that’s where Lori-Lyn can be found. She’s an artist, she does energy work, she is a marvelous listener who provides clarity for the person doing the talking (I know all about this last part, for she recently worked with me on some life purpose/life path concerns I was having.) Lori-Lyn has many talents and a whole lot of wisdom, and she shares them generously, without judgment.

This custom painting by Lori-Lyn is actually *absolute* magic. Beneath this gorgeousness she wrote my intentions/prayers/wishes. She painted on top of them from her heart and intuitive spirit, then she hugged it in to a handmade frame. I’ve been blown away by what I feel this piece has manifested in my life! I see it first thing waking in the door and it feels like a constant high vibration in deep support and cheer for me. To me it works a lot like Feng Shui. It works a lot like the power of intentions.

From the moment I knew my prayer painting was on its way to me, I was eagerly awaiting its arrival! Opening up the package when it arrived was better than Christmas morning. And then seeing her face for the first time, the woman in my painting; well, it felt like I was seeing a part of my soul I hadn’t yet met. Something deep within, that I didn’t know, I didn’t know was there. She’s been with me for a little over a week now and every day, I feel she reveals a new secret to me and holds space for the woman I desire to be and become. The prayer that I sent to Lori-Lyn for my painting was in short, ‘Fulfillment’. And what I got was just that and more. She is a vision for my future. A calling, to my greatest possible path. A blessing. I am in love with Lori-Lyn and her personalized prayer paintings!

Our conversation has been transformative for me. It has helped me emerge from a very dark time, personally and creatively. These past few weeks I have been swept away by waves of creative insight and work in the studio. I have felt compelled to be in the studio, madly working from one idea to another, and becoming quite drunk on the ‘nectar from many different flowers’. In fact, my next task is to integrate all of this energy into a life that includes the whole of me-daily life, mundane chores, enjoying free time, pets, life. Balance, rhythm, ritual-a creative whole.

Lori-Lyn is someone made of the most beautiful, loving, gentle and unique kind of magic.
As an intuitive she is extremely clear and insightful, yet what I receive from her goes so far beyond just intuitive guidance. Meeting her in the loving space she holds is like entering a shower of love and acceptance. Sounds corny, but is true to every word.
I leave each call with her feeling cleansed, strengthened and revived, clear about my path and in deep connection with both my heart and my guidance.
The support she provides has stayed with me for months, even years after our initial sessions.
In one word, she is incredible.
I feel so very blessed to have found her on my path.

My session with Lori-Lyn was deeply reassuring and inspiring – a warm homecoming for my spirit! At the same time, our conversation was also quite practical and helpful, and I came away with some concrete practices and ideas for moving forwards. I loved it that while Lori-Lyn very skillfully weaved her own spot-on intuition and intelligence into the conversation, she also invited me to trust my intuition and spiritual power. She is wonderfully kind, easy to talk to, respectful, and truly gifted. I treasure our conversation and look forwards to the next one. I can’t recommend her work highly enough!

It’s been two weeks since you were here and each day I thought about writing to you and thanking you again for the lovely program you brought to St Paul. I’ve heard so many wonderful comments from those who attended. They loved the art activity as well as the slideshow and lecture/discussion…I was really pleased by how many shared questions, comments and talked about their art that day.
