The Constellation Room Presents
Four small lights.
A free 4-day writing series for the darkest stretch of the year.
December has a way of filling every minute and leaving no space for your own thoughts. This series asks for a little time with your journal.
For four days, one short prompt arrives in your inbox. You write a few lines or a few pages. You follow the thread as far as it wants to go. The prompts travel from dark toward light, the way the season does, and when you reach the end, I’ll send you a keepsake PDF to hold what you wrote.
What you’ll get
Four short prompts, one a day, each sized for a pocket of stillness
A keepsake PDF on day four, with the prompts, room to write, and a small solstice ritual
A first taste of the writing rhythm we keep in The Constellation Room
How it works
Add your name and email below.
Your first prompt arrives right away. Join on any day, and you’ll still receive all four.
Write whatever comes. Nobody grades it, and you don’t have to share it.
You’ll receive four prompt emails and a PDF, plus a note about The Constellation Room when enrollment opens.
Who’s writing to you
What comes next
I’m Lori-Lyn Hurley, a writer with an MFA in fiction and a lifelong habit of believing in the page. I write Creative Living Diaries, where I share essays about creativity, becoming who you are, and the interior sky. These four prompts come from the room I’m building for women who want company while they write.
Enrollment for the winter season of The Constellation Room opens Monday, December 14. It’s a six-week writers' circle that begins on the Winter Solstice, with four live gatherings plus a prompt each week. You’ll hear all about it at the end of the series, and there’s no pressure whatsoever.
